Penny, your job costing assistant
Penny tracks every job's money, live, and flags what needs your attention. She never moves money, and nothing is guessed.
What she does today
What Penny handles for you
- Job costing for each job. Contract value, change orders and costs: materials, subs, labour, equipment and permits.
- Labour from the field. With Sofie, labour costs come from the hours in your crews' daily logs. On her own, you add your jobs in Penny and enter labour as a cost.
- Billing and payments. Billing, payments and holdback for each job.
- Budget against actual. Live profit and flags when something drifts.
- Files on each job. Drop in a quote, estimate, budget, cost tracker or invoice list from whatever you use today: PDF, photo, Excel, Word or CSV. Penny shows what she found and where in the file each number came from. Nothing goes into job costing until you tick it and tap Add. Getting started, one spreadsheet can cover several jobs.
- From Lily. If you have Lily, invoices and receipts from your email land in Penny's list for you to add to a job.
- Owner only. Only you see the money, unless you let project managers see their own jobs. Crews never see it. Penny never reads your email.
- Nothing guessed. Penny tracks and flags. Anything that hasn't been entered shows as not set.
- Keeps you ready. Penny never moves money, sends invoices or files taxes. She keeps your numbers ready for all of it, working alongside the rest of the team.
Coming soon
- QuickBooks Online and Xero connections, so Penny pulls invoices, payments, bills and expenses from your own books every night. Read only: she never changes, sends or pays anything.
- A fuller finance view: cash flow across the business, not just per job
